Much intrigue goes on between members of the ThunderClan and the opposing ShadowClan, with questionable allegiance and loyalty of a ShadowClan member. The novel is basically about four cat clans, which are fighting to survive, when a house cat named Rusty leaves the confines of his human household to become Firepaw, a member of the ThunderClan. One of my third grade students is a voracious reader, and he loaned me his copy of the book Warriors Into the Wild, insisting that it was an excellent story that I should read.
